My practice centres around the natural world, exploring the forgotten spaces, the bits we cannot see, finding sanctuary in nature’s relentless power.

Through charcoal, paint and a deep respect for surface my work edges between worlds, sitting between true depictions and timeless obscured recollections. The constant is always energy. The energy of every cliff, tree and wave, the energy of every living thing past and present that we feel around us every day. My materials and process serve to guide me every bit as much as I seek to control them, building, reducing, excavating, revealing, each peace is its own journey.

Originally from Glasgow I moved to Cornwall in 2024 to begin a new life as an old one dissolved. Themes of grief, isolation and desolation run through my work, alongside a sense of hope, acceptance, finding purpose belonging and bonding with my new home. This brutal beautiful land that opened its arms to me when i needed it most, always, at the centre of it all.
